Our visit to Aether – Elevate your travel experience
Aether the Private Terminal for the domestic passenger at Manchester Airport.
We have been patiently watching Aether ever since before Covid when it originally launch (under PremiAir) but sadly had to close. We were originally booked but never got to try the Private Terminal. So you can imagine our excitement when we heard the great news that Aether would reopen on the Monday 4th November 2024. We were due to fly on Tuesday 5th November which was great timing and this gave us an opportunity to try Aether for ourselves and let you know what we thought of it.
ARRIVAL AND CHECK-IN
Imagine stepping out the car and straight in the elegant and private airport lounge with great panoramic views of the runway!, no waiting in long lines at the check-in desk or security. imagine no more.
Aether is based just off Manchester Airport right by the visitors viewing area in its own private area. The experience starts the moment you step into Aether and greeted at reception by the lovely and friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed.
At reception this is where you experience your own private check-in experience and off goes your luggage (on this trip we were flying with just cabin bags).
After check-in which took no time at all we were then led into the stylish lounge area with a perfect view of the runway and this is where we felt the first class experience.
DINING AT AETHER
Since it was early, we were served breakfast from the menu by chef Adam Reid.
The breakfast consisted of a four courses (see menu below) from Seasonal fruit and croissant to an amazing mashed avocado and rocket with poached egg finishing off with yoghurt and a delicious seasonal smoothie and baked muffin.
As you can see the food was exceptional along with the outstanding service from start to finish.
Alcohol is included with the price of your experience, but for me it was all about the tea/coffee and smoothies.

SECURITY AND BOARDING THE FLIGHT
Aether was an amazing experience, very relaxed and it gave me a chance to unwind before the flight, with zero stress from the main terminal and the hustle and bustle of getting through check-in and security.
As my departure time approached, my host escorted me to the private security screening area. The security staff were very friendly, chatting away and welcoming to Aether Terminal.
This was the bit I think I loved the most, yes the service and food was exceptional but where else would you experience a private chauffer around the runway to our flight!.
As I was chauffeured around the runway to my flight, the friendly driver shared fascinating insights about the airport, pointing out and having to wait for planes taking off and landing just a short distance away. The friendly driver’s commentary added so much to the experience for me
As we arrived at the aircraft I was met by the airline staff and boarded the flight.
ARRIVING BACK AT AETHER
One of the great things about using Aether is you can arrive back into the Terminal after your return flight.
This service just added to the excellent service we had already had on the way out. We were met off our flight, taken backstage as I call it at Manchester Airport and then chauffeured around the runway back to Aether to pass through security and meet our ride home.
The time from leaving the flight to getting into the car home I would say took no longer than 10minutes!!!.
